Robert Slawinski Auctioneers will conduct a California Estates Auction comprised of fine antiques sourced from the local Bay Area, featuring over 100 pieces of fine estate jewelry.
A featured item in this auction is a baseball signed by "The Georgia Peach" Ty Cobb in the 1930s at a minor league baseball game, accompanied by a PSA/DNA letter of authenticity. The highlight jewelry item is a 2.00 carat solitaire diamond, of VS2 clarity and G color, set in a 14kt yellow gold ring, featuring 1.80 carats in accenting diamonds. The ring has an appraised replacement value of over $38,000. Other jewelry to be offered includes a Chopard lady's gold wrist watch featuring diamonds around and inside the face, a Corum man's wristwatch with presentation case, a selection of Native American and Mexican sterling, as well as other fine pieces featuring diamonds, aquamarine, tanzanite, and other precious stones set in 22kt-10kt gold and sterling silver.
A selection of 18th century decorative furniture will also be offered, including pieces of American, French, and Italian origin, including an Italian silver gilded mirror. A pair of 18th century Philadelphia Hepplewhite chairs will be offered, as well as an 18th century Italian inlaid Bombay front commode.
Fine artwork will be offered, including original paintings by Jules Montalant (1823-1878), William Clapp (1879-1954), Stanley Wood (1894-1949), Warren Chase Merritt (1897-1968), Arthur Faber (b. 1898), Agnes Sims (1910-1990), Frank Whipple (1923-2016), and Peter Loftus (b. 1948). Also to be offered in this auction is a selection of sterling silver, art glass, art pottery, and antique carpets, as well as a selection of Chinese antiques and décor.
